There are a few roles we would like parents to help with and take some of the workload off the coaches.
If there are any parents who would like to help with the coaching please contact Rod. We will arrange courses you can attend and develop your coaching skills.
We also would like a parent or parents to help with writing match reports for the website and the local newspaper.
The Sharks had another great season. The started with three good wins then lost two successive games to Brods and WPL.They recover to win further games lost just one more to Morley in December. After the Xmas break they went on a good winning run and progressed to the Yorkshire Cup semi final where they lost to Morley 10-14.
The rest of the season produced an unbeaten run and some excellent running rugby. Three players Jacob Chadwick, Seb Fahey, Ted Grogan attended the district trials and gave a good account of themselves
Several new players joined this season, Sammy Hopkinson, Dylan Parry and Dennis Hopley. They have all made good progress and quickly up to speed with the playing standard. If they are able to keep this squad they should have a good season as u15s and another good cup run.

We have a team of 3 coaches with RFU Coaching qualifications. They will ensure all players of all abilities have a pleasurable rugby experience in a safe and controlled environment. There will be a number of players returning again this year but it would be great to see more new arrivals, both those who are encountering rugby for the first time or those who are looking to supplement some experience gained at school or other clubs. The emphasis is on enjoyment and team spirit through rugby. Winning is an enjoyable experience, but if you achieve pleasure from the game success often comes as a by-product.
