When do the squad train
The squad train on a Friday evening 6:15 to 7:30pm. Contact any of the U10's coaches below or feel free to turn up at a training session.
When do the squad play matches
The playing season runs from September to the end of April and games are on Sunday mornings. We meet at the club at 10:00 for a warm-up and finish playing matches by noon.
Under 10's rugby is full contact, played with a size 4 ball, with the added bonus and physical competition of contested scrums and line-outs. The game at this level requires strength, speed, determination, and fitness; it is this great combination of skills and attributes that makes rugby a great game for all people of all sizes. A team with all of these skills will be very hard to beat.
We have a very experienced team of 5 coaches with RFU Coaching qualifications. They will ensure all players of all abilities have a pleasurable rugby experience in a safe and controlled environment. There will be a number of players returning again this year but it would be great to see a few new arrivals. The emphasis is on enjoyment and team spirit through rugby; this team believes everyone should enjoy their rugby!
Training starts on the first Sunday in September.
Under 10's Squad: Adam Woodcock, Alfie Connors, Ben Collins, Ben Gianotti, Bobbie White, Dillon Hilton, Edward Windle, Emma McHugh, Joe Walsh, Joe Smallman, Killian Smith, Lewis Paxton-White, Oscar Thomas-Rowe, Patrick Rhodes, Rafe Dolan, Thomas Doyle, Toby Laurie.
This season's under 9's squad throw away their tag belts and start playing 9 a side contact rugby. This is a big change frm tag rugby and so they have already started some pre season training working on tackling, line outs, scrums and rucking/mauling.We have a very experienced team of 6 coaches with RFU Coaching qualifications. They will ensure all players of all abilities have a pleasurable rugby experience in a safe and controlled environment. There are will be a number of players returning again this year but it would be great to see a few new arrivals, both those who are encountering rugby for the first time or those who are looking to supplement some experience gained at school or other clubs. The emphasis is on enjoyment and team spirit through rugby. Winning is an enjoyable experience, but if you achieve pleasure from the game success often comes as a by-product.

Please contact any of the coaches or Dave Butler for details if you are interested in joining the squad. When the season starts we hope to run 2 teams so everyone gets a game. If your child has never played before don't worry they will be given all the coaching to get them up to speed to play mini rugby.
